VERNON COUNTY, Wis. – A Disaster Recovery Resources Seminar hosted by Vernon County Emergency Management that had been scheduled for March 19, but was postponed due to weather, has now been scheduled for Wednesday, April 23 at 6 p.m at the Westby Performing Arts Center.
Vernon County Emergency Management Director Brandon Larson has announced that Larson said the goal of the seminar is to help organizations and individuals know where they can get information and resources to recover from a disaster or emergency.
“Vernon County is no stranger to disasters and we want to provide a time for you and your family to get information and resources before an emergency or disaster happens,” said Larson.
Several organizations will be in attendance to provide a short 10-15 minute presentation on who their organization is and what they can offer for assistance. Handouts and brochures may be
available as well.
Organizations presenting include CouleeCap, Great Rivers 211, Red Cross, Salvation Army, River 2 Ridge Disaster Resilience Group, Vernon County Emergency Management.
