Vernon Health recognized with major awards for heart, stroke and vision care

VIROQUA, Wis. – Vernon Health has recently been honored with four significant awards recognizing its commitment to high-quality care in cardiovascular treatment, stroke recovery, and organ and tissue donation.

The organization received three American Heart Association (AHA) Get With The Guidelines awards for its dedication to evidence-based care in stroke and cardiovascular treatment. These awards reflect the staff’s commitment to following the latest, research-based guidelines, which helps patients in the community achieve better outcomes, faster recoveries, and reduced readmissions.

The three AHA awards received by Vernon Memorial Healthcare include:

• Get With The Guidelines®-Rural Coronary Artery Disease STEMI Silver

• Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Silver Plus

• Get With The Guidelines®-Rural Stroke Silver

Vernon Health leadership offered a thank you to their “incredible staff for making this possible” and to the community for trusting them with their care.

In addition to the recognition for cardiovascular and stroke care, Vernon Health was selected as a recipient of the 2025 Crystal Vision Award. This award is presented by the Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin.

The Crystal Vision Award is reserved for organizations that exemplify an extraordinary commitment to the “gift of sight”. It honors those who go “above and beyond” to advance eye, organ, and tissue donation. The award itself has recognized exceptional commitment since 2007.
