Gays Mills man faces drug charges following traffic stop

GAYS MILLS, Wis – Crawford County Sheriff Dale McCullick reports a Gays Mills man was arrested and is facing drug related charges following a traffic stop in Gays Mills.

According to a Sheriff’s Department report, officers conducted a traffic stop on a pickup truck in the Village of Gays Mills on Saturday, June 7. The driver of the truck was identified as Cole Mickelson, 27, of Gays Mills. During the stop, a search of the truck was conducted and a plastic container containing methamphetamine was discovered. Mickelson was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail on charges of operating after revocation, failure to install an ignition interlock device, possession of methamphetamine, and violation of probation.
