3/10 A property owner called into dispatch reporting on an ongoing issue with two dogs running at large on his property on Green Acres Road in the Town of Franklin. A deputy responded and citations were issued to the dog owners.
3/10 Deputies responded to two different locations on US Highway 14 to dispatch deer that had been struck by vehicles and were wounded on the roadway in the Towns of Hamburg and Coon.
3/10 Dispatch received a driving complaint on a vehicle traveling towards Westby on US Highway 14. A deputy was able to locate the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. A warning for speed was issued.
3/10 A deputy stopped to speak with the occupants of a parked vehicle at a residence on Washington Street in the Town of Wheatland when the female passenger suddenly exited and ran. The female was eventually found, identified, and had two warrants out of Crawford County. The deputy transferred custody of the female to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.
3/12 A deputy was dispatched to US Highway 14 in the Town of Coon for a car versus deer collision. The occupants reported no injuries, and the vehicle was towed from the scene for disabling damage.
3/12 A deputy was sent to investigate a vehicle that had been sitting in a park on Bekkedal Avenue in the City of Westby after dark with its high beams on and radio up loud. The driver was advised of the park hours and left.
3/12 A deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on State Highway 82 in the Town of Stark. The driver was given ten days to register the vehicle and repair or replace faulty equipment.
3/13 A deputy initiated a traffic stop on US Highway 14 near Hellwig Lane for a truck traveling at a high rate of speed. The driver was cited for speeding 76MPH in a 55mph zone.
3/13 A deputy initiated a traffic stop on US Highway 14 west of Coon Valley for a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and passing several other vehicles. The driver was cited for speeding 81MPH in a 55mph zone.
3/13 A driver of a vehicle was found slumped over behind the wheel in front of a gas station in the Village of Viola. A station worker tried offering assistance and noticed the driver was possibly impaired and notified dispatch. The driver left but was later found by deputies and taken into custody for Operating While Intoxicated and transported to the Vernon County Detention Center.
3/14 A deputy initiated a traffic stop on US Highway 14 near South Brookeville Road in the Town of Franklin. The driver was taken into custody for Operating While Under the Influence and was transported to the Vernon County Detention Center.
