McIntosh Memorial Library partners with the Vernon County Ag Society to host Read to Win program

July 16, 2025

The McIntosh Memorial Library of Viroqua in partnership with the Vernon County Agricultural Society are pleased to announce the return of the annual Read to Win program. The reading supported program will take place August 1-31, 2025.

This collaborative reading initiative encourages children and teens ages birth to 18 to dive into books during the month of August for a chance to earn either a free entry pass or a free ride pass to be used during the Vernon County Fair. The Fair will be held at the Vernon County Fairgrounds on September 10-14, 2025.

“This partnership with the leadership of the Fair has been such a rewarding way to celebrate literacy and community,” said Emilia Jury, McIntosh Memorial Library’s Youth Services Director. “We love seeing kids connect their love of books with a special experience at the fair.”

Beginning August 1, the Read to Win reading logs will be available at the McIntosh Memorial Library for pick up. This annual program is designed to keep young people engaged in reading during the summer while also promoting the fun and excitement of the local county fair.
