Crawford County traffic stop leads to drug related charges

EASTMAN, Wis. – Crawford County Sheriff Dale McCullick reports that a 39-year-old man is facing drug related charges following a traffic stop in Eastman on Wednesday night.

According to a Sheriff’s report, at approximately 8:37 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27, officers conducted a traffic stop on State Highway 27 and County Highway D in the Village of Eastman. During the stop, Crawford County Sheriff’s Office K-9 (Diego) was utilized and alerted to the presence of one or more controlled substances in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of methamphetamine paraphernalia. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Lukas Pitzer of Wauzeka, Wis.

Pitzer was subsequently arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Pitzer was also cited for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and operating a motor vehicle with expired registration. All individual(s) are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
