Statewide races
The Wisconsin Supreme Court consists of seven justices elected for ten-year terms. Justices are chosen in statewide elections on a nonpartisan ballot, with a primary election narrowing the field to two candidates who then compete in the spring election. New justices take office in late summer after winning the general election.
Nonpartisan Candidates for Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Susan Crawford and Brad Schimel
State Superintendent of Public Instruction
On the ballot for State Superintendent of Public Instruction are Brittany Kinser and Jill Underly, the incumbent.
Statewide referendum question
The statewide referendum is a “yes” or “no” vote to vote to change the Wisconsin Constitution to require voters to present valid photographic identification. A “yes” vote would vote to create a new article III, section 1m of the Constitution to require voters to present valid photographic identification to vote. A “no” vote would vote not to create the new constitutional provision.
