MADISON, Wis. – This week, State Senator Brad Pfaff (D-Onalaska) welcomed Carson Tracey of Viroqua to the Wisconsin State Capitol for the Senate Scholar Program.
As part of the program, Senate Scholars meet with legislators, legislative support agencies, legislative staff, the Governor’s staff, a Supreme Court Justice, the media, lobbyists and many others who work in the Capitol. When the Senate is on the floor, Senate Scholars staff the session under the direction of the Senate Sergeant at Arms office. Their activities culminate in a mock legislative hearing on a bill that the Senate Scholars have drafted.
