MADISON, Wis. – earlier this week State Senator Brad Pfaff (D-Onalaska) and State Representative Robyn Vining (D-Wauwatosa) re-introduced a bill to create an online portal for Wisconsinites to access information related to starting, maintaining, and growing a small business.
Pfaff says the online portal would feature information on economic development programs, bidding opportunities for small businesses to participate in state and local government contracts, courses of instruction, and networking opportunities.
“Small businesses are the cornerstone of our communities,” said Pfaff “Wisconsin’s economy thrives when our Main Streets thrive. I’m proud to introduce this legislation, which will give Wisconsin entrepreneurs the tools they need to start their business and contribute to our local economies. This bill reflects the diverse needs of Wisconsinites who wish to start a business, and will help our small businesses continue to innovate and evolve.”
