Ferryville man airlifted to La Crosse hospital with serious injuries after Crawford County motorcycle crash

CRAWFORD COUNTY, Wis. – Crawford County Sheriff Dale McCullick reports 67-year-old Donald Lathrop was seriously infuried and airlifted to a La Crosse hospital after crashing his motorcycle on State Highway 35 on Wednesday afternoon.

A sheriff’s Department report states that the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motorcycle crash at approximately 4:15 p.m. Wednesday on State Highway 35, near Leitner Hollow Road in the Township of Seneca. The operator of the motorcycle was identified as Donald Lathrop, 67, of Ferryville, Wis. According to the report, Lathrop lost control and crashed on the highway.

Lathrop was not wearing a helmet and sustained possible life threatening injuries. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Gundersen Air, Gundersen Ambulance, Seneca First Responders, Seneca Fire Department, and Bob’s Towing Service.

This crash remains under investigation.
