52-year-old Readstown man seriously injured in UTV crash

READSTOWN, Wis. – Sheriff Roy Torgerson reports a 52-year-old Readstown man was seriously injured in UTV crash on Sunday afternoon. Sheriff Torgerson says the Sheriff’s Office 911 Dispatch Center was notified of a Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) crash approximately 3:45 p.m. on Sunday. The crash occurred on private property along North Glass Road, in rural Readstown in the Town of Kickapoo.

The driver of the UTV was identified as Chad Laverne Crook. The report states Crook was operating the UTV and struck a fence and overturned. Crook was ejected, sustained serious injuries and was flown to Gundersen Health System by GundersenAIR.

Assisting the Sheriff’s Office were Readstown Emergency Medical Service, Readstown Volunteer Fire Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, and GundersenAIR.

All emergency personnel were clear from the scene at 5:14 PM.

The crash remains under investigation.
