VERNON COUNTY, Wis. – In an email statement late this afternoon Vernon County Sheriff Roy Torgerson reported that a teen that had been missing since Feb. 17 in Vernon County has been located and is reported safe.
Sheriff Torgerson’s statement:
“I am providing an update on the ongoing missing persons investigation involving Erika Parr that has been widely reported. I am happy to report that Erika has been located in another jurisdiction, and she is safe. I am so proud of my team, the Child Protective Services unit of the Vernon County Department of Human Services, our state and local partners for all their time and efforts. I would also like to thank all of you for your coverage of this case. I will forever be grateful to the community for your overwhelming support in the important work that our team does every day.”
So far law enforcement has not released any details on how Parr was found or what the circumstances were regarding her disappearance. This is a developing story and we will update as needed.
