“This grant will allow me to expand my small herd of dairy cattle, as well as gain knowledge about topics related to my SAE,” Olson said. “I cannot wait to someday have my very own dairy operation.”

Olson plans to attend the University of Wisconsin–River Falls after high school, majoring in dairy science with a minor in crop science. His long-term goals include working in dairy herd management, running a small dairy farm, and building a small-scale bull stud with hopes of reaching five bulls and 10 customers by 2030.

School officials praised Olson’s dedication and vision, calling the achievement a testament to his hard work and commitment to agriculture.
