VIROQUA, Wis. – Sheriff Roy Torgerson reports a rural Westby man was arrested today in a stolen vehicle case from August of last year. According to the Sheriff’s Office a black, 2012 GMC 3500 standard-cab diesel pickup truck was stolen from a farm on Esofea Road, in rural Westby sometime between 11:45 p.m. on August 8 and 7:00 a.m. August 9. The stolen vehicle was located later in the day on August 9 along Strangstalien Valley Road with considerable front-end damage.
Today the Sheriffs Office reports the arrest of Mark Alan McKibbin, 37, of rural Westby in connection with that stolen truck. According to the Sheriff, McKibbin was transported to the Vernon County Detention Center to await a bail hearing in Vernon County Circuit Court. Formal charges will be sought through Vernon County District Attorney Angela Palmer-Fisher.

Court records show McKibbin has several other open criminal cases for various charges including Maintaining Drug Trafficking Place, Possess w/ Intent-Amphetamine/Methamphetamine/etc.(>10-50g), Posses w/Intent-Fentanyl (<=10g), Possess Drug Paraphernalia, PTAC, as a Party to a Crime, and numerous bail jumping charges.
