Westby man and Gays Mills woman arrested on drug related charges following traffic stop

CRAWFORD COUNTY, Wis. – Sheriff Dale McCullick reports that on Friday, May 24, law enforcement personnel conducted a traffic stop on State Highway 131 in the Township of Freeman. The Sheriff’s report states that during the stop, Crawford County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Diego was utilized and alerted to the presence of one or more controlled substances in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and the following was discovered, fentanyl, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.

The driver, Jared Olson, 38, of Westby, and his passenger, Samantha Dolezal, 36, of Gays Mills, were arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail on charges of possession of a narcotic drug, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Additionally, Olson was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a restricted controlled substance (3rd Offense) and operating after revocation.
