Viroqua’s “Downtown” Trick or Treat moves to Vernon County Fairgrounds this year

The event moves to the Fairgrounds for safety reasons with Main Street construction projects underway

Oct 30, 2024

The Viroqua Chamber, which organizes the “Downtown Safe Trick or Treat” event each year, has decided to move the event to the fairgrounds for the 2024 Halloween season.

Businesses are encouraged to set up their space along the midway, using tables, tents, or “trunk or treat” style. Registration is not required, but the Chamber asks all businesses to complete set up by 2:45 p.m. and remain at the fairgrounds until 5:00 p.m.

Trick-or-treaters and their accompanying adults are asked to park along the main fairgrounds road and walk their children to the midway, which will be open to pedestrians only for this event. Trick-or-treaters are welcomed to stop by between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. The Chamber reminds everyone to drive slowly and watch for children.
