Viroqua man injured in motorcycle accident

Viroqua, WI – Vernon County Sheriff Roy Torgerson reports a Viroqua man was injured in a motorcycle crash on State Hwy. 56 in the town of Viroqua on Monday, April 10.

According to the Sheriff’s Office 66-year-old Richard Langer was traveling west on State Hwy 58 near the intersection of State Hwy 82 when the motorcycle he was riding had a mechanical issue that caused him to lose control. Langers motorcycle slid on its side for approximately 64 feet before coming to rest in the westbound lane. Langer was wearing a helmet and safety gear and was transported to Vernon Memorial Hospital by Tri-State Ambulance and later transferred to Gundersen Hospital in La Crosse. The extent of his injuries is unclear.
