VIROQUA, Wis. – The McIntosh Memorial Library in Viroqua will host their annual “Pet Parade” in the Viroqua’s Eckhart Park on Monday, followed by a reading by author Amber Sawyer and her horse Derek Boarmac N, from her book “Every Horse has a Story.”
The parade will be held on Monday, June 9 and begins in the library courtyard along Rock Avenue. Children and families with live pets or stuffed animal entries will gather in the library courtyard beginning at 9:30 a.m. for check-in. The parade will leave the library at 10:00 a.m. Participants will march on the sidewalk from the library to Eckhart Park.
“The Pet Parade has become the libraries signature event to kick off the annual Summer Reading Program” said Youth Services Associate Christopher Olson. “Participants are encouraged to wear costumes along with their pets.”
