Viroqua Library hosting discussion on overcoming disordered eating and negative body image in adults

McIntosh Memorial Library is pleased to host an empowering and enlightening event with Nutritional Therapist Celina Dykstra. The event is scheduled for Saturday, February 22 at 10:00 AM. During the program Celina will lead an open discussion on overcoming disordered eating and negative body image in adults, providing valuable insights for those looking to improve their relationship with food and their bodies.

“You are not alone. Most people have some level of a disordered relationship to food and their body. This makes perfect sense since we are born into a society that rejects us, teaches us not to trust ourselves, and then promises the new fad diet or some product will save us. We are all trying our best to figure out the truth, to feel connected, and to be seen and loved. These core desires have a major influence on how we think, act, and how we eat. Healing your relationship to food and your body is an opportunity to completely transform your life.” – Celina Dykstra

Dykstra has dedicated her career to coaching adults across the US and Canada who struggle with food and body image issues. With over a decade of personal experience battling eating disorders and chronic disease, Celina has found healing and answers. Now, she works with clients to tap into their body’s innate intelligence to reach their health goals.

This event offers a safe space to ask questions and gain practical advice on how to navigate and heal from negative eating patterns and body image struggles. Attendees will leave feeling inspired and empowered to begin their own journeys toward wellness.

While disordered eating often affects teens, the Question and Answer session will specifically focus on adults.
