VIROQUA, Wis. – As the academic year draws to a close, McIntosh Memorial Library is proud to announce the continuation of the Vernon County Stuff the Bus program in collaboration with the Vernon County Health Department. This initiative, now in its second year, aims to provide essential school supplies and backpacks to students in need throughout Vernon County.
Stuff the Bus is a community-driven effort designed to support students from Pre-K through High School, ensuring they have the tools they need to thrive academically. Recognizing that financial constraints should not hinder a child’s educational journey, Stuff the Bus offers school supplies and backpacks at no cost to eligible students attending schools within Vernon County.

“Our goal is to ensure every child has the resources they need to succeed in school, regardless of their circumstances,” said Maggie Strittmater, Adult Programming and Outreach Coordinator at the McIntosh Memorial Library. “By providing essential supplies through Stuff the Bus, we are helping to level the playing field and empower students to reach their full potential.”
To participate in the program, students and parents are encouraged to complete the registration form available at https://form.jotform.com/241295118494158. Additionally, community members, organizations, and educators are urged to spread awareness by sharing the registration link with those who could benefit from this valuable resource.
“We believe that by working together as a community, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of students within Vernon County,” added Strittmater. “Your support and partnership are crucial in ensuring the success of Stuff the Bus.”
