The Viroqua Fire Department reports that on Friday February 7 at 2:34 p.m. the department was dispatched to 53261 County Road B in the Town of Jefferson for a report of a brush fire between two structures.
Upon the department’s arrival, smoke and flames were visible coming from a brush fire next to a
structure and the fire had already spread into the structure. The report states that the fire was brought under control and extinguished quickly. The report also states there was some damage to the structure and some farm equipment. Most of the structure and equipment were saved and no other buildings were affected by the fire.
The department cleared at approximately 5:58 p.m. There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters. The origin and cause of the fire is under investigation.
