VIROQUA, Wis. (AP) — The Viroqua Chamber of Commerce has announced that its annual community trick-or-treat event will return to the Vernon County Fairgrounds for 2025.
The event is scheduled for October 31, 2025, running from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. This return to the Fairgrounds is being driven by “popular demand” after the Chamber received “incredible feedback” from both families and businesses. The community particularly praised the safe, traffic-free environment and strong community atmosphere provided by the trunk-or-treat format.
The gathering is characterized as a beloved event that brings people out around Halloween, featuring a trunk-or-treat style with decorated booths, costumed children, and plenty of treats.
New this year (2025) is the addition of the “Spooky Spot” Award, which will be given for the best decorated trunk or booth.
Sponsors for the event include Sleepy Hollow Ford and the Vernon County Agricultural Society. The Chamber’s numerous events are intended to help drive people downtown and support local businesses.
