The Viroqua Area Schools Board of Education has announced the selection of Dr. Jeremy Hill as the next district administrator for Viroqua Area Schools.
“We are excited to welcome Dr. Jeremy Hill to Viroqua Area Schools as our new District Administrator. The Board is confident that Dr. Hill will provide the leadership and vision necessary to continue advancing the district’s commitment to educational excellence and student success. Jeremy is a seasoned educator and leader in K-12 education, brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep commitment to fostering an inclusive, high-quality learning environment. He will be a strong advocate for our students, staff, and community through his experience, vision, and
dedication.” said Angie Lawrence, President of the Board of Education.
Dr. Hill is currently the principal at Willow Creek Elementary School in the Fremont County School District #25 in Riverton, Wyoming. Willow Creek Elementary School is a high performing school that has flourished under his leadership. Dr. Hill’s previous experiences include the following appointments:
- ● High School Assistant Principal & Activities Director in Riverton, WY
● High School Assistant Principal & Department Chair in Rosenberg, TX
● UIL Coordinator/Director of Forensics in Rosenberg, TX
● Director of Theatre/Assistant Director of Forensics in Missouri City, TX
● Director of Forensics/9-12 English Teacher in Lander, WY
Dr. Hill holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Secondary English Education & Speech Communication from the University of Wyoming, a Master of Science Degree in Educational Administration from the University of Houston – Victoria, and Doctor of Education Degree in Educational Leadership & Superintendent Certification from the University of Wyoming.
Dr. Hill stated, “I am excited to serve as the next District Administrator of Viroqua Area Schools. I look forward to intentional partnerships between our committed staff, phenomenal families and invested community members as we focus on what is best for each and every student. Our goal will be maintaining Viroqua’s place among premier school districts in Wisconsin.”
Dr. Hill will replace current District Administrator, Tom Burkhalter, who announced his resignation earlier this spring. Dr. Hill’s first day working in Viroqua will be on July 1, 2025.
