VIOLA, Wis. — Through social media the the Village of Viola welcomed Shea Bounds as its new chief of police.
According to the announcement Bounds began full-time employment with the village in June and brings 14-years of law enforcement experience to the position.
Village officials said Bounds is committed to public service, professionalism and community engagement. Throughout her career, she has focused on building positive relationships with residents, addressing community concerns and providing fair and effective law enforcement services.
Bounds said trust, communication and visibility are key to maintaining a safe and welcoming community.
As police chief, Bounds plans to strengthen partnerships between the Police Department and Viola residents while continuing to provide responsive and professional law enforcement services. She said she looks forward to getting to know community members and working collaboratively to preserve the values that make Viola a desirable place to live, work and visit.
Village officials welcomed Bounds to the community and expressed confidence in her leadership as she begins her new role.
