READSTOWN, Wis. — According to a social media post from the Village of Readstown, recent improvements at Readstown Park are giving families a safer and more inviting place to gather following work completed by the community’s public works crew.

New playground borders and fresh wood chips have transformed the play area, making it cleaner and safer for children, according to a statement from the Village of Readstown. Officials credited the public works team for putting in many hours of planning and labor to complete the upgrades.

The village also recognized County Line Excavation of Soldiers Grove for delivering materials and donating additional mulch for the project, calling the contribution an example of how local partnerships can extend the impact of community improvements.

Funding for the project was supported in part by a Community Development Grant awarded by the Vernon County Economic Development Committee and the Vernon County Community Development Department. Village officials said the grant made key aspects of the park upgrades possible.

While additional improvements are still planned, officials expressed gratitude to everyone involved, saying the project reflects ongoing efforts to invest in the community and enhance quality of life for residents.
