May 26, 2025

VIROQUA, Wis. – Vernon Memorial Healthcare in Viroqua announced last week that they rebranding as Vernon Health. In a press release, Vernon Health said they will remain an independent, critical access hospital guided by a local board of directors, allowing it to deliver personalized care suited to its rural community’s needs.

“This rebrand is more than a new name and logo — it’s a reflection of who we are and where we’re going,” said Vernon Memorial CEO David Hartberg. “We’re honoring our legacy while embracing a future focused on innovation, accessibility and deep community connection.”

The new name and logo are the result of a two-year effort led by a team of employees and medical staff. The rebrand process included input from patients, staff and community members that helped shape the brand.

Vernon Health said the new logo symbolizes unity and care, and the updated colors reflect community diversity and warmth. Vernon Health said it is also expanding services while maintaining its traditional personal touch. The expansion will include new clinicians and advanced technologies will enhance care offerings.

Over the next few months, the community will begin to see the new Vernon Health logo alongside the previous one on marketing materials and digital platforms. Vernon Health will celebrate with a Family Fun Night at the Viroqua Campus on Sept. 3.

“Our story is best told by the people who live it every day — our staff, clinicians and community,” said Labecca Schott, marketing and public relations manager.
