Community invited to meet Dr. Rafiq at Aug. 25 open house

VIROQUA, Wis. — Vernon Health is expanding access to specialty care with the addition of Anila Rafiq, DPM, the organization’s first podiatrist.
Dr. Rafiq brings comprehensive foot and ankle care to Vernon Health, allowing patients throughout the region to receive more of the care they need locally.
“Adding podiatry is another important step in expanding access to specialty services for our community,” said David Hartberg, CEO and administrator of Vernon Health. “We continue to listen to the needs of our patients and invest in services that make high-quality care more accessible, convenient and connected to the community we serve.”
Dr. Rafiq provides care for a wide range of foot and ankle conditions, including heel pain and plantar fasciitis, ingrown toenails, diabetic foot concerns, wounds, and other common and complex conditions. Her clinical interests include wound care and limb salvage, as well as minimally invasive surgical approaches when appropriate.
She is board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and board-qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Community open house
Vernon Health invites the community to meet Dr. Rafiq, tour the newly remodeled Specialty Clinic space and learn more about podiatry services during an open house:
Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2026 3–6 p.m. Vernon Health Specialty Clinic — First Floor, Medical Office Building Viroqua, Wis.
The event is free and open to the community.
