VIROQUA, Wis. — Vernon Health Foundation will host Films on the Field, a free outdoor community movie night, on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at the Vernon County Fairgrounds racetrack field, 210 Fairgrounds Road, Viroqua. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. and movie is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
This year’s event will highlight food insecurity while offering a family-friendly experience for community members of all ages. The featured film, Ratatouille, reflects the evening’s theme — “anyone can cook” — and encourages creativity, confidence and curiosity in the kitchen.
“Films on the Field is a chance to bring people together for a fun summer evening while also raising awareness about food insecurity in our community,” said Jonathan McKenzie, Development Manager. “We want this event to be welcoming, family-friendly and meaningful for everyone who attends.”
Admission is free, and limited complimentary food will be available as part of the event’s focus on reducing hunger in the community. Through Films on the Field, Vernon Health Foundation continues its mission to support community health in meaningful, engaging and accessible ways.
