VIROQUA, Wis. —Vernon County services will soon have a new look, thanks to the new county logo making its debut this spring. The new design, which includes a fresh logo and tagline, highlights the mission, vision, and values that the Board of Supervisors and staff established to guide Vernon County’s future.
“Our new brand brings a consistent look to Vernon County, helping ensure our communication is clear, recognizable, and easy for residents to trust. We remain committed to providing the essential services our residents rely on every day,” said Casandra Hanan, Vernon County Administrative Coordinator. “Our commitment to the public remains unchanged as we move forward.”

The new logo features rolling hills and a color palette inspired by the local landscape, along with a bright sun representing optimism and a welcoming community. The new brand also includes the tagline “a great place to grow” encapsulating Vernon County’s strong agricultural heritage as well as its strong future.
The new brand marks a step towards a more recognizable and unified Vernon County, while increasing clarity and consistency across the county. While county departments will have a new look, residents can expect the same trusted services, from roads and bridges to public safety and community health.
Vernon County’s Community Development Director Amy Oliver stated, “This work is about more than a new look — it’s about making it easier for residents to understand the services we provide and how they connect to improving health, safety, and quality of life. The brand helps bring consistency to how we communicate and supports the long-term direction the Board has set for Vernon County.”

The rebrand is part of broader effort by Vernon County Board of Supervisors and staff to strengthen the county’s foundation while planning strategically for the future. In 2025, county leadership established the county’s mission, vision, and values to guide this work. The branding process was iterative and informed by public input, staff feedback, and final approval by the Board.
“Vernon County is an amazing place to live; it is a community where families, businesses and neighbors grow together,” said Larkin Breckel, Economic Development and Marketing Coordinator. “This new brand system will help us tell that story. It showcases our history and what makes this place so unique, while creating a more modern and consistent feel.”
Over the coming months, community members will begin to see the new logo featured prominently on digital and print assets from the county, as well as increased and improved signage and wayfinding tools around the county. County buildings will be getting new interior and exterior signage to improve the experience of finding and accessing services.
