10/5 A sheriff’s deputy and officer from Hillsboro Police Department responded to a business on Water Avenue in the City of Hillsboro for a patron causing a disturbance. They were removed from the premises.
10/6 A report of battery was investigated at a business on Buckeye Ridge Road in the Town of Webster. The incident will be referred to the Vernon County District Attorney Office for possible charges.
10/6 Deputies were dispatched to De Soto High School for a reported threat which turned out to be unfounded.
10/7 A domestic disturbance at a residence on Lincoln Street in the Village of Ontario resulted in an arrest for Disorderly Conduct and Battery, both domestic abuse related. They were transported to the Sheriff’s Office Detention Center.
10/7 Deputies responded to a business on State Highway 35 in the Village of De Soto for a burglar alarm activation which turned out to be inadvertently tripped by a vendor at the business.
10/7 Dispatch received information about a male harassing female patrons at a business on West Kickapoo Street in the Village of Readstown. The male was located nearby and transported to the Sheriff’s Office Detention Center subject to conditions of his bond out of Crawford County.
10/8 A deputy investigated a report of stolen batteries from an end loader on a work site near Norwegian Hollow Road in the Town of Clinton. The incident is still under investigation.
10/9 Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on State Highway 35 in the Town of Genoa. A male was taken into custody and transported the Sheriff’s Office Detention Center.
10/10 Dispatch was notified that a vehicle had been stolen from a residence on South Maiben Street in the Village of Readstown. A short time later Richland County notified 911 dispatch the vehicle had been involved in a crash in Boaz and a suspect was taken into custody (see separate news release).
10/10 Dispatch received a complaint about a possibly impaired driver heading northbound on US Highway 14 toward Westby. Deputies were able to locate the vehicle and determined the driver was indeed impaired. The driver was taken into custody and processed for Operating While Under the Influence and Possessing Open Intoxicants in a Motor Vehicle and transported to the Sheriff’s Office Detention Center.
