5/25 Deputies responded to Garden Street in the Village of Ontario for a truck that had gone through a guardrail. The driver was booked for Operating While Under the Influence and Take and Drive Vehicle without Consent and transported to the Sheriff’s Office Detention Center. One lane was closed briefly while the truck was towed. The driver reported no injuries.
5/25 A sheriff’s deputy and an officer with the Hillsboro Police Department responded to a domestic disturbance on Water Avenue in the City of Hillsboro.
5/26 Traffic was stopped on US Highway 14 in the Town of Kickapoo for six horses from a nearby business that were loose on the road. Owners were contacted and retrieved the horses.
5/27 A Sheriff’s deputy and a Viroqua Police officer responded to a residence on Decker Street in the City of Viroqua for a domestic disturbance, specifically that a male was damaging property. The male was taken into custody, transported for medical care and booked at the Sheriff’s Office Detention Center for Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Damage to Property, both domestic abuse related offenses.
5/27 Deputies responded to a residence on West Turner Avenue in the Village of Viola for a domestic disturbance. Parties at the residence had no-contact orders in place. A female on scene was arrested for Felony Bail Jumping – Domestic and a male party was arrested and booked for Criminal Damage to Property, Domestic Disorderly Conduct, and Domestic Felony Bail Jumping. Both were transported to the Sheriff’s Office Detention Center.
5/29 Sheriff’s deputies and officers with Viroqua Police Department responded for report of a burglar alarm at a residence on Apple Lane in the Town of Viroqua. On arrival, workers were found repairing the roof and had inadvertently set off the alarm.
5/30 Dispatch received a complaint regarding a vehicle speeding and driving erratically near US Highway 14 and Sherpe Road in the Town of Viroqua. A sheriff’s deputy located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The driver received a warning for speed.
