6/21 A motorist reported a herd of cattle loose along State Highway 56 in the Town of Harmony. Contact was attempted with the owner, but deputies were unable to reach them. The animals made their way back to their enclosure.
6/21 An area business called to notify law enforcement that a male with an Attempt to Locate (ATL) from Richland County was seen walking along South 4th Street in the Village of Readstown. Caregivers were contacted and he was later returned to his residence.
6/21 The Sheriff’s Office 911 Dispatch Center received several calls from a male using profanity and making concerning threats toward area law enforcement officers. The male was later arrested and transported to the Sheriff’s Office Detention Center.
6/24 Residents on Irish Ridge Road in the Town of Clinton reported an unknown vehicle parked in their shed and the owner of the vehicle was in a barn at a neighbor’s residence. Before deputies could make contact the male left in his vehicle toward Cashton. The neighboring county was notified.
6/26 Pigs were reported loose on Norske Road in the Town of Kickapoo. The owners were contacted and the pigs were caught and returned to the property.
6/26 A resident called to report that two vehicles on East Wisconsin Avenue in the Village of Readstown were possibly burglarized. The consoles had been rifled through. Investigation is ongoing.
6/26 Possible trespassing was reported at a shop on County Road P in the Town of Forest. The lights were left on, and the door was left ajar. Deputies walked the property but were unable to find anyone at the scene.
6/27 A physical altercation reportedly occurred at a business on Ghelf Road in the Town of Wheatland. A female reported possible injuries.
6/27 A vehicle was found in a ditch along County Road K in the Town of Bergen with the back window shattered and rear license plate gone. No occupants were found inside the vehicle. The registered owners were contacted who stated they’d sold the vehicle to someone on Facebook about a month prior. The buyer’s contact information was provided to law enforcement, but they have been unable to reach them.
6/27 A crossbow scope was stolen from a business on South 4th Street in the Village of Readstown. Surveillance video of the suspect was provided to law enforcement. Investigation is ongoing.
