6/28 Deputies responded to a residence on US Highway 14 in the Town of Hamburg for possible underage alcohol consumption.
6/29 The new owner of a property on Hybein Lane in the Town of Stark called to report that the locks and doorknobs had been tampered with. Investigation is ongoing.
6/29 A horse pulling a buggy along County Road P in the Town of Clinton became spooked after a logging truck passed it, causing the buggy to overturn into the ditch. One of the two occupants sustained apparent minor injuries.
6/29 A deer appeared to have been struck by a vehicle and was found still alive along County Road P in the Town of Christiana. A deputy came to dispatch the injured animal.
6/30 Sheriff’s 911 Dispatch received a 911 ping near a boat launch along State Highway 35 in the Town of Genoa for a truck, boat, and trailer that were completely under water. The two Minnesota juveniles were able to exit the truck and guardians were contacted. No injuries reported.
6/30 Deputies responded to a residence in the Town of Franklin for a report of domestic violence.
6/30 A resident called to report suspicious activity after finding a drone next to their vehicle on Ridgeview Road in the Village of De Soto. The drone appeared to be broken, and a possible owner will be contacted.
6/30 A Wood-Mizer Sawmill was reported stolen from a property on County Road V in the Town of Greenwood. Identifying information was shared with deputies. Investigation is ongoing.
7/3 The Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence in the Town of Franklin. Methamphetamine, other suspected controlled substances, packaging/distribution materials, and other drug paraphernalia were located. Two individuals were arrested and transported to the Sheriff’s Office Detention Center.
7/4 A property owner on Chipmunk Ridge Road in the Town of Bergen called to report seeing a convertible leave the roadway, traveling into the ditch, and coming to rest in their hay field. There appeared to be no injuries. Deputies made contact with the motorist and determined they had been operating while impaired. The driver was subsequently booked and released for Operating While Under the Influence.
7/4 A sheriff’s deputy assisted Viroqua Police Department with a male attempting to fight patrons at a local establishment on South Rock Avenue in the City of Viroqua. The male was arrested and taken into custody for Disorderly Conduct.
