8/2 A male in violation of his probation was arrested on South Commercial Street in the village of Viola and transported to the Sheriff’s Office Detention Center.
8/2 An anonymous caller reported a possible intoxicated driver leaving an establishment in the town of Whitestown. A deputy made contact with the occupants of the vehicle and determined the accusation was unfounded.
8/3 Dispatch received a report of possible battery at a residence on US Highway 14 in the town of Hamburg.
8/3 Deputies investigated the death of an elderly male found at the site of a UTV rollover in the town of Wheatland. (See separate news release)
8/5 Damage to a men’s bathroom was reported at Sidie Hollow Park. During the investigation a group of juveniles found camping without a reservation were questioned; one later admitted to causing the damage. Citations were issued.
8/5 A property owner on Lovers Lane in the town of Hillsboro called to report their chickens had been attacked by two dogs roaming loose in the area. A neighbor secured the dogs while a deputy contacted their owners. A citation for Dogs at Large was issued.
8/7 A sheriff’s deputy and Viroqua police officer responded for a report of damage to multiple vehicles parked in a lot caused by a tire that came off a trailer being towed behind a passing truck. The operator of the truck stopped, unhooked the trailer and left it. The driver was located a short time later. Investigation is ongoing.
8/7 A disturbance at a residence on East Main Street in the village of Readstown resulted in the arrest of a female for Domestic Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Damage to Property.
