12/1 The owner of a property on Subera Road in the Town of Hillsboro called to report finding a car in the ditch that struck their fence and had likely been left overnight. The driver’s father called in to report the accident and later removed the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

12/1 A truck and trailer jackknifed causing total lane blockage near the top of the hill on County Road KK in the Town of Hamburg. Several cars were also stuck on the hill as a result. A skid steer was removed from the trailer enabling the truck to be removed and get the highway back open.

12/1 A deputy came upon an SUV near US Highway 14 and Tom Burns Lane with its hazard lights on and stopped to assist but found the driver had already been taken by private vehicle to seek care for a medical issue.

12/2 Assistance was requested by an area school to remove a disruptive spectator at school event who had been asked by referees to refrain from making unruly comments. The spectator gathered their things and was ejected prior to the deputy’s arrival.

12/3 A welfare check was requested at a residence on State Highway 131 in the Town of Whitestown.

12/3 A deputy assisted a driver on Shady Lane in the Town of Jefferson with gaining access to their vehicle after mistakenly locking the door while it was running and still parked inside a shop.

12/5 An area first responder notified dispatch after coming upon a van versus deer crash on State Highway 82 in the Town of Stark. The crash resulted in airbag deployment and heavy front end damage of a Toyota Sienna driven by Meghan Filbert, La Farge. The first responder kept the driver and an 8 month old child warm in their car while awaiting help. No injuries reported. The van was towed from the scene due to disabling damage.
