Vernon County Sheriff Sgt. Justin Rahr graduates from National Police Leadership Program

April 7, 2026

VIROQUA, Wis. — Vernon County Sheriff Roy Torgerson announced that Sgt. Justin Rahr has graduated from the Leadership in Police Organizations training program, a nationally recognized leadership course offered through the International Association of Chiefs of Police.

The program, known as LPO, is considered a cornerstone of the IACP’s leadership development training. Its curriculum is based on leadership instruction developed for the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

The training was delivered by the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Law Enforcement Services in partnership with the IACP. The final week of the program was held at the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.

“Sgt. Rahr’s dedication to professional growth and leadership development reflects a strong commitment to serving our community and strengthening our agency,” Torgerson said. “We are proud of his accomplishment and the leadership skills he brings back to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office.”
