Vernon County Sheriff responds to two vehicle crash near Westby

WESTBY, Wis. – The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office reports a two vehicle accident on Sunday, November 26 at approximately 8:35 a.m. According to the Sheriff’s Office Louise Wood, 31, of Westby, Wis. was traveling west on County Road P and lost control of her vehicle while negotiating a corner. Wood side-swiped an eastbound vehicle operated by Zackary Inselberger, 23, of Gurnee Ill. and passenger Madisyn Kreier, 23, of Salem, Wis. Wood’s vehicle continued off of the road, striking a utility pole, before coming to rest.

No injuries were reported. Airbags were deployed in Wood’s vehicle and all occupants reported the were wearing seat-belts at the time of the crash. The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office, Westby Fire Department, George’s towing and trucking, and Vernon Electric Cooperative all responded to the scene.
