Vernon County Sheriff reports Coon Valley area motorcycle crash

COON VALLEY, Wis. – The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Friday, October 20 at approximately 5:15 p.m., the 9-1-1 Dispatch Center was notified of a motorcycle crash that occurred on North Ridge Road (State Highway 162), near Valley View Estates Lane, in the village of Coon Valley.

According to the sheriff’s office Scott Michael Mc Lees, 66, of Trempealeau, Wis. was driving north and went off the right side of the roadway. The motorcycle came to rest on its side, in a ditch. Mc Lees sustained very minor injuries and refused treatment. The motorcycle was up righted and driven away from the scene. Mc Lees was not wearing a helmet.

Responding to the scene were the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office, Coon Valley First Responders, and Gundersen Tri-State Ambulance.

The crash remains under investigation by the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office.
