Vernon County Over 50, a program for senior citizens, offers activities in Viroqua, Viola, Ontario & Readstown. The group meets live in Viroqua with speakers on Wednesdays and sends these presentations to the Viola, Ontario & Readstown Public Libraries via Zoom. The goal is to add more libraries as the need continues to expand. Coordinator, Kay Wienke says, “Seniors will just need to drive or walk to their local public library in order to access activities, programs and socialization. These activities are so important for our senior citizens,” Vernon County Over 50 is a non-profit 501(c)(3) which makes their activities available to all senior citizens with free-will donations as their only source of funding.
The group offers Tai Chi exercise classes live via Zoom in Viroqua, Readstown & Ontario on Mondays & Wednesdays 1-1:45 p.m.
