Vernon County launches redesigned county website with new .GOV address

VIROQUA, Wis. -Vernon County is proud to announce the launch of its new official website, now live at www.vernoncountywi.gov. This transition from the previous domain (vernoncounty.org) reflects the county’s commitment to enhancing accessibility, modernizing our infrastructure, and security for residents and visitors alike.

The move to a .gov domain, designated specifically for government entities, underscores Vernon County’s dedication to providing reliable and secure online resources. The new domain offers an easily recognizable and trusted space for constituents to access county services, updates, and information.

Website Highlights:

  • Improved Navigation: A user-friendly design allows for easier access to essential services and information.
  • Enhanced Security: The .gov domain ensures added protection for users interacting with county systems online.
  • Improved Accessibility: The new site has more tools to help meet and convey information to everyone’s needs.
  • Mobile Optimization: The site is fully optimized for use on smartphones and tablets, ensuring accessibility from any device.

What This Means for Users:
Visitors to the previous website, vernoncounty.org, will be automatically redirected to the new domain. While the content remains familiar, users are encouraged to update bookmarks and saved links to reflect the new address.

“Moving to vernoncountywi.gov & the website redesign represents our ongoing effort to better serve our community,” said Conner Simon, IT Director. “This upgrade reflects not only a change in web address but also a step forward in how we connect with and serve our residents.”
