Sept. 11, 2026
VIROQUA, Wis. — The Vernon County Energy District will host its 6th Annual Drive Electric event on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2026, offering area residents an opportunity to learn about electric vehicle ownership directly from local drivers.
The free, public community gathering will run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Western Technical College parking lot, located at 220 S. Main St. in Viroqua.
Organizers designed the evening as an interactive sharing environment where local electric vehicle owners will showcase their vehicles and answer questions regarding real-world driving conditions—including winter performance and long-distance road trips—at a time when gas prices are rising and electric vehicle costs are falling.
“Whether you are thinking of an EV or already own one, this is a fantastic opportunity to share experiences and learn,” said Alan Buss, president of the Vernon County Energy District.
In addition to vehicle displays and driver discussions, the event will feature electric vehicle trivia and complimentary food, including brats and burgers. Area electric vehicle owners are encouraged to bring their vehicles to display, and no prior registration is required for attendees.
The Vernon County Energy District is a local non-profit organization dedicated to advancing energy independence and sustainability through education and community engagement. Additional details are available by contacting info@vced.energy.
