Vernon County elected officials take oath of office

VIROQUA, Wis. – Five Vernon County government officials that all ran unopposed in the November election took the oath of office an Monday. Vernon County Circuit Court Judge Timothy Gaskell conducted the swearing in ceremony for County Clerk Jerry Pedretti, Register of Deeds Lindsey Formanek, District Attorney Angela Palmer-Fisher, Treasurer Karen De Lap and Highway Commissioner Phil Hewitt

Sheriff Torgerson provided the opening remarks, thanked everyone who took the time to attend, and led the Pledge of Allegiance. Chaplain “Pastor Don” Ehler gave the invocation and closed with the benediction. Clerk of Courts Sheila Olson provided refreshments and kept the ceremony running smoothly. Also in attendance were Deputy Howell and Administrative Coordinator Cassie Hanan.
