Vernon County Acknowledges Annual Professional Municipal Clerks Week

VERNON COUNTY, Wis. – As part of Professional Municipal Clerks week (May 5th – May 11th), the Vernon County Clerks office would like to thank all the Vernon County municipal clerks.

In 1984 and in 1994, Presidents Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton, respectively, signed a Proclamation officially declaring Municipal Clerks week to recognize the essential roles municipal clerks play in local government.

Municipal Clerks perform vital services for their community including preparing agendas, maintaining minutes, ordinances, and resolutions. Other responsibilities include keeping official records, conducting local elections, and processing permits.

Vernon County Clerk Jerry Pedretti is honored to be working with the 33 municipal clerks and hereby issues its own proclamation contained herein.

Office of the Vernon County County Clerk.

J. Pedretti, County Clerk
