The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) today is inviting rural leaders to join a webinar on Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 10 a.m. ET, to learn about resources to invest in local arts and community centers, which are key to enhancing economic growth and quality of life in rural areas.

USDA Rural Development offers programs and services to build, expand and improve community-based businesses, including movie theaters and performing arts venues.

Program staff will discuss how funding can upgrade equipment, install renewable energy systems, finance expansions and more.

Staff will preview a new resource guide that will help people better navigate these programs. USDA expects to make the guide publicly available in the coming weeks.
