Two people injured in two vehicle crash between Viroqua and Westby

VERNON COUNTY, Wis. – The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office is reporting two people were injured between Viroqua and Westby on Saturday when one vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign.

Vernon County Sheriff Roy Torgerson reports on Saturday, September 21 at approximately 2 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office was notified of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of West Smith Road and Barstad Road, in the town of Viroqua.

The report states that 72-year-old Robert Ramsey of Iowa City, Iowa, was driving south on Barstad Road and failed to stop at the intersection of West Smith Road. Ramsey’s vehicle collided with an eastbound vehicle driven by Jeffrey Michael Hahn, 45, of Viroqua.

Both Ramsey and Hahn reported minor injuries. Ramsey was transported to Vernon Memorial Healthcare by Tri-State Ambulance/Gundersen Ambulance.

Assisting the Sheriff’s Office were the Viroqua Police Department, Viroqua Fire Dept., Viroqua Fire Department Emergency Medical Responders, and Tri-State Ambulance/Gundersen Ambulance.
