Two people arrested for shoplifting in Readstown

READSTOWN, Wis. – Sheriff Roy Torgerson reports two arrests as the result of a retail theft investigation ongoing since middle to late Feb. A sheriff’s report regarding the investigation states an incident occurred twice at the same business and once at a separate business, both located in the Village of Readstown.

As a result of that investigation two arrests were made early Friday afternoon, March 7. Arrested were Travis James Burrow, 44, of Viola, Wis. and Treasa Maria Lohmiller, 44, of Soldiers Grove, Wis,. Both were taken into custody in the Village of Viola.

Burrow was booked into the Sheriff’s Office Detention Center for retail theft, felony bail jumping, and misdemeanor bail jumping.

Lohmiller was booked for party to the crime of retail theft and possession of methamphetamine.

Both Burrow and Lohmiller are being held pending a bail hearing. Formal charges will be sought through Vernon County District Attorney Angela Palmer-Fisher. A charge is merely an accusation. The defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Another arrest may be forthcoming.
