WAUZEKA, Wis. — On Monday, March 23, 2026, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office made contact with a suspicious vehicle on Dutch Ridge Road in the Town of Wauzeka, according to Sheriff Dale McCullick. Deputies identified the driver as Bryant Nyberg, 35, of Beloit, and the passenger as Holly Polkinghorn, 38, of Prairie du Chien.

Law enforcement personnel observed indicators of possible drug impairment in both individuals. Crawford County Sheriff’s Office K9 Diego was deployed and alerted to the presence of one or more controlled substances. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of unprescribed prescription medication and methamphetamine.
Nyberg failed a drug influence evaluation and was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a restricted controlled substance (second offense) and operating with a revoked driver’s license. Polkinghorn was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
