DE SOTO, Wis. — A traffic stop in the Village of De Soto led to the arrest of a 67-year-old Ferryville woman on a methamphetamine-related charge, authorities said.

Crawford County Sheriff Dale McCullick reported that the incident occurred Saturday, June 13, 2026, when a deputy conducted a traffic stop and requested assistance from the sheriff’s office K-9 unit.
K-9 Diego alerted officers to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of about 33 grams of methamphetamine packaged in five separate bags, along with several hundred dollars in cash and ledgers believed to be associated with drug distribution.
The driver, identified as Christine Busalacchi, was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail.
Busalacchi has been charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.
Authorities noted that all defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
