Two people injured in two vehicle crash in rural Hillsboro

HILLSBORO, Wis. – Vernon County Sheriff Roy Torgerson reports on Saturday, June 1, at
approximately 12:00 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office 911 Dispatch Center received a report of a two-vehicle crash that occurred at the intersection of County Road EE and County Road Q, rural Hillsboro, in the town of Greenwood.

According to the Sheriff’s report Kyra J. Bisarek, 19, of Hillsboro was traveling south on County Road Q. and did not stop for cross traffic on County Road EE. The BIsarek vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by 67-year-old Gerald T. Mayer of Allenton, Wis. Both vehicles left the roadway and the Mayer vehicle overturned.

A female passenger in the Mayer vehicle, a female, 60, sustained apparent non-lifethreatening injuries and was transported to Gundersen St. Joseph’s Hospital, in Hillsboro, by Hillsboro Area Ambulance. Gerald Mayer reported minor injuries but declined transport. Bisarek did not report any injuries.

Assisting the Sheriff’s Office at the scene were the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office, Hillsboro Fire Department, and Hillsboro Area Ambulance Service.

The crash remains under investigation by the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office
