“Storytime with Gordon the Dog” coming to Viroqua Library

VIROQUA, Wis. -The McIntosh Memorial Library of Viroqua is pleased to offer the opportunity to local youth to read to Gordon the dog! Gordon is a 9-year-old certified Good Citizen Canine who spent time at the library with his handler Marilyn in 2023. Last year youth enrolled in the After School Program spent time reading to Gordon.

Due to the success of the program McIntosh Memorial Library will be hosting “Storytime with Gordon the Dog” on Fridays: February 16th and 23rd and March 1st and 8th from 3:45 – 4:30pm in the Aviary Seating Area. Children of all ages and their families are welcome to attend and take turns reading to the dog. Staff can help with book selections. No registration is necessary.

For more information about this program please contact Youth Services Director Laci Sheldon at 608-637-7151 x 5, visit the “Viroqua Library” Facebook page, or visit the library website.
